keeping aspirin directly where the pain is NOT a good idea , it causes aspirin burn in the region (i.e gums) , not at all recommended !!!

applying ice can be considered , because ice constricts the blood vessels which will decrease the blood supply to that region and decrease the pain !!

pain due to eruption of third molar can be treated with painkillers or warm water gargles !!

I have had many issues with my teeth over the years. I to have used the aspirin, placing it against the gum area either above or below the tooth ache. It works, for a while. After repeating this a cple times your gum area becomes raw. I recently tried ground garlic with water. make it pastey in a paper towel and apply to tooth ache. This also works:)

Try the vanilla extract...it does provide INSTANT relief! My friend had severe tooth pain effecting even her head and eyes. After trying pain killers and whiskey she had no change but once the vanilla extract was applied directly to the tooth she was pain free!

My mother and grandmother used this remedy for toothache pain, as have I, for teeth with cavities or cracks. Pour a small amount of white vinegar, room temperature, into a glass and pour into mouth. Tilt head to keep vinegar over tooth or teeth which hurt as long as possible, then spit out. Repeat, if necessary.

Take a couple of cloves (whole) and leave between cheek and gum of affected tooth leave there till it is soft then chew and rub on gum and tooth. Works better then oragel or other gels. Even works for overnight relief just leave between cheeks and gum the best thing I have ever used for toothache. Can also use ground cloves for instant relief and tooth. Also us peroxide rinse to clean around tooth will help alot to keep infection out of tooth and gums.
