Bring to a slow soft boil, remove from heat let cool to a warm comfortable temperature and add a shot to a shot and a half of spiced rum, pepperment schnapps, or whisky which ever you prefer. Stirr in and take one or two table spoons full about four times a day. Soothes sore throat immediately and cures it quick. Also cures chest congestion and dry cough as well. A pharmacist recommended that I take Aleve,which has an ingredient for inflammation. Within 40 minutes the soreness was almost completely gone. Every eight hours,within a 24 hour period,I kept taking two Aleves. I've been able to eat anything I want and swallow without pain. I also took vitamins c and d. (as long as you have to until thin, thin, thin!) put it in the micro for a min. and stir *again* then drink right up and i did that this morning and feel a bit better to be honest! i hope this works for you too!
