Well, I experienced heart burn for the first time over the Christmas break. I'm in my 20's,and I have NEVER previously
had to deal with heart burn before.

However, I noticed that this problem didn't start until I started or added something to my diet that I don't usually consume. This something was cranberry juice. I notice that my esophagus would " squeeze" every time after I had drank cranberry juice, and every time after I drank something hot. I''m a heavy tea drinker, and the night that I first started experiencing this, I couldn't even drink a whole cup of tea, because every swallow of this "hot " tea , would cause my esophagus to squeeze .

So I took some apple cider vinegar first. I think it worked but it felt worse at first. Secondly , I prayed to God about it. Thirdly I drank some Milk. Which went down smoothly and caused no reaction. The next morning I was pretty normal, but I still have to be cautious of what I consume, especially acidic foods and beverages. I do think that the milk helped a lot, so you might want to try it as a remedy.

I take a table spoon of apple cider vinegar and it works like charm every time. It's not very tasty in your month, and burns going down, but helps relief my heartburn 100% of the time.

I have read that others suggest just vinegar, but that has never worked for me and taste really, really bad. Tried chamomile remedy, and worked, but not as well as apple cider vinegar.
