what do we do when the baby’s bottom/diaper area turns dark due to diaper use? i change her all the time do its really not due to a rash. her skin color is completely different there than the rest of her body. please help

I have three children and when they got diaper rash I asked my grandmother who has had six children what to do and she swears by using Crisco. And I’ll tell you wierd as it sounds it works wonders.

Take equal parts of cheap diaper rash ointment, vasoline, and Phillipsâ€™ Milk of Magnesia. Mix together in a paste. Put in a container with a lid and place in the fridge. Smear a good amount on the diaper rash and put a fresh diaper on. Within a day, the rash will be gone.
